ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A group of enthusiastic middle school students from various districts has gathered at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) for a week-long video game development camp. This unique opportunity allows young aspiring developers to dive into the world of game design, where they will learn to create and code their own video games from the ground up.
The students, selected for their early interest in technology, are being equipped with new Chromebooks to enhance their learning experience. Throughout the week, they will explore various aspects of game development, including storyboarding, character design, and programming. The camp aims to nurture their passion for technology and inspire them to pursue further education in STEM fields.
With hands-on workshops led by experienced instructors, participants are encouraged to collaborate and share ideas, fostering a creative environment. This initiative not only empowers students with valuable skills but also ignites their imagination, setting the stage for future innovations in the gaming industry.
