Xbox has officially marked the calendar for two of its biggest upcoming gaming experiences, with both the long-awaited "Fable" reboot and the next "Forza Horizon" installment now slated for release in 2026.
The new "Fable," a complete reimagining of the beloved fantasy franchise, is being developed by Playground Games, the studio renowned for the "Forza Horizon" series. This open-world adventure promises to bring its signature whimsical humor and fairy-tale setting to modern consoles. It is currently targeting a Fall 2026 launch window and will be available on both Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, alongside a PC release.
Sharing the 2026 spotlight is the studio's other major project, "Forza Horizon 6." Details on the next chapter in the critically acclaimed open-world racing series remain under wraps, but its confirmation alongside "Fable" signals a massive year ahead for the developer and for Xbox Game Studios. The dual announcements solidify a major pipeline of premium titles for the platform, giving players a clear glimpse at high-profile games arriving in the coming years. Both titles are expected to launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.
